The Right Healthcare Program for Your Career Goals
The state of Delaware is now offering GRANTS to cover 100% of tuition for career training in Dawn’s Nursing Assistant program for students who qualify!
Dawn Career Institute combines qualified instruction with the medical facilities, equipment and instruments you’d find on your first day of work. Nursing Assistants (NA) help patients with the tasks of everyday living. They play a crucial role for both the healthcare team and the patient. In cases requiring long-term care, many Nursing Assistants act as the principle caregiver, develop close personal bonds with the residents, and have a positive, caring influence in their patients’ lives.
The duties of Nursing Assistants may include:
- Taking medical histories and recording vital signs
- Serving meals and helping patients eat
- Cleaning and bathing patients
- Helping patients dress
- Assisting patients with toilet facilities
- Turning and repositioning patients in bed
- Recording patient feedback and concerns
- Providing emotional support
Most Nursing Assistants work in hospitals, skilled nursing or long-term care facilities, assisted living facilities or retirement communities.
Dawn Career Institute has provided GUAVA Care, Senior Home and Healthcare Services, Inc. with top candidates that excel in the tasks presented to them. GUAVA turns to Dawn Career Institute.
